SAPPE focuses on developing innovative solutions

to reduce environmental impacts across its value chain

by reducing the use of virgin resources, increasing circular materials,

and enhancing recyclability, while improving operational efficiency and optimising costs.

Packaging Development to Enhance Recyclability

– Replaced PVC labels with PET labels across all products, covering 375,309,088 units
– Enhanced the recyclability of packaging materials

Packaging Adaptation in Compliance with International Market Requirements

– Implemented 28 mm tethered caps for products distributed in the European market
– Reduced the risk of cap leakage into the environment by approximately 69,110,300 caps per year

Recycled Content Integration

– Utilized 1,147,500 kilograms of recycled
PET (rPET) resin in bottle production
– Expanded the use of 25% rPET across several key product lines

Material Reduction /Lightweighting

– Reduced label thickness from 0.40 to 0.35 microns, resulting in a total material reduction of 18,765,451.10 grams
– Reduced pallet wrapping film thickness from 20 to 15 microns
– Reduced bottle cap weight, decreasing plastic usage by 6,768.72 kilograms per year

Post-consumer Waste Reduction
through Packaging Design

– Adjusted the packaging size of Mogu Mogu products from 320 ml to 220 ml
– Reduced product disposal and minimized post-consumer waste

Reducing Environmental Impacts in Logistics Operations

– Replaced 16 diesel-powered forklifts with electric forklifts, reducing fuel consumption by 288,000 liters per year and lowering operating costs by THB 2,378,192 annually
– Supported greenhouse gas emissions reduction within warehouse operations

Forward-looking Commitment

– Explore the use of biodegradable packaging for selected products
– Enhance bottle design efficiency while maintaining strength and safety standards
– Improve long-term material management efficiency
These initiatives reflect the Company’s commitment to reducing resource consumption, increasing the use of recycled materials, and enhancing packaging standards in alignment with international best practices. This forms part of SAPPE’s sustainable growth strategy and long-term value creation for stakeholders. A summary of the Company’s primary packaging material usage is presented below:
