SAPPE conducts its business with the belief that sustainable growth can create shared value and contribute to long-term community and social development, guided by its commitment to improving people’s quality of life. The Company adheres to human rights principles in line with the United Nations UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and recognises the importance of protecting children and young people in accordance with the UNICEF Children’s Rights and Business Principles.

SAPPE is committed to preventing and mitigating adverse impacts from its operations on communities, health, and safety, while continuously promoting access to learning opportunities and appropriate welfare support. At the same time, the Company actively engages in community development across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, covering both communities surrounding its manufacturing sites and wider society at national and international levels, with the aim of delivering measurable and sustainable long-term outcomes.

Approach to Community and Social Responsibility

To ensure that community and social development efforts are carried out continuously and deliver measurable outcomes, the Company has developed the SAPPE 5S Model as a framework for community engagement and development. This framework is guided by the principles of stakeholder participation, active listening to community needs, and the implementation of context-specific support measures tailored to each locality. The Company’s community initiatives encompass multiple dimensions, including economic development, environmental stewardship, education, health, and social well-being, with the objective of strengthening community resilience and enabling communities to become increasingly self-reliant. This approach is implemented alongside the responsible use of resources and contributes to maintaining a long-term balance between economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
Sustainable Economy

Sappe has identified strengthening the economic resilience of communities as a key strategy for sustainable business operations. The Company focuses on career development, enhancing income-generating capabilities, and systematically improving the capacity of community and social enterprises. It promotes the integration of community economic activities into the business value chain, alongside efficient utilization of local resources and the application of technology and innovation to enhance the value of products and services. These efforts lead to job creation, income distribution, and continuous growth of local entrepreneurs, with the aim of strengthening community resilience and self-reliance in the long term.

FDA Certification Support Project for Phuet Udom Community Enterprise (Processed Products Group)

The Company supported the “Phuet Udom Processed Agricultural Products Community Enterprise Group” in enhancing its food production standards for products made from locally sourced raw materials and preparing for product registration and certification with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This initiative was implemented in collaboration with relevant local government agencies and included support for upgrading production facilities and submitting applications through the public health system. The production facility is currently undergoing the official site inspection and assessment process.

Wan Whan Wan Project (Year 9)

The project continued for its ninth consecutive year in 2025, aiming to promote both conventional and EU Organic-certified aloe vera cultivation in Pathum Thani and Chachoengsao provinces. Following the impact of flooding on participating members during 2023–2024, the Company supported the rehabilitation of cultivation areas and assessed members’ readiness to rejoin the programme. As a result, the initiative generated a total of THB 63,110 in income for local communities.

Sappe conducts environmental management alongside efforts to ensure safety and improve the quality of life for communities and society. The Company focuses on community-level resource and environmental management, minimizing environmental impacts, and fostering environmental awareness through active participation. Sappe aims to create a safe environment for communities and society, one that supports sustainable living and enables adaptation to environmental risks and future climate changes.

Target: Promote collaboration with communities to protect, restore, and reduce environmental impacts, while generating long-term positive outcomes for ecosystems.

Organic Fertilizer from Nata de Coco Waste Project (Waste Management)

The Company initiated a project to convert aloe vera residue generated from the production process into organic compost, in collaboration with the Pathum Thani Land Development Office, to promote efficient resource utilization and support circular economy principles. Preliminary testing results indicated compliance with relevant quality standards. The project is currently undergoing further study and process optimisation to develop a sustainable waste utilisation approach, while creating shared value with local communities.

Yaek Laek Trip (Separate, Exchange, Trip) Activity

The Company implemented an internal waste segregation initiative to raise employee awareness of carbon footprint reduction and efficient resource management through participation in the “GC YOU Turn” programme. Through this initiative, a total of 848.7 kilograms of plastic waste, equivalent to approximately 42,435 plastic bottles, was successfully segregated and returned to the recycling process.

Sappe believes that education and skill development are fundamental to sustainable community development. The company is committed to supporting equal access to educational opportunities, promoting lifelong learning at all ages, and developing skills necessary for future changes. This is coupled with efforts to reduce educational disparities, enhancing the potential of children, youth, and workers in communities so they can develop themselves, create careers, generate income, and contribute value to their communities and society in a strong and sustainable way.

Knowledge to Community Activities

The Company transferred knowledge and technical expertise on the processing of locally sourced raw materials to the Phuet Udom Processed Agricultural Products Community Enterprise Group in Pathum Thani Province, with the aim of creating shared value between the organisation and the community. This included support for the development of an “aloe vera dishwashing liquid” product, which has the potential to create sustainable income-generating opportunities for the community in the long term.

Community Employment

SAPPE prioritises the recruitment of employees from communities surrounding its manufacturing facility in Pathum Thani Province to create inclusive access to income opportunities and enhance the quality of life of local residents. In 2025, a total of 226 employees were hired from local communities, representing 38% of the Company’s total workforce.

Employment of Persons with Disabilities

SAPPE promotes inclusive employment opportunities and supports appropriate job placement for vulnerable and underrepresented groups. In 2025, the Company provided employment opportunities to a total of 7 individuals, comprising 2 employees working within the manufacturing facility, 3 employees recruited through the Foundation for the Blind, and 2 employees engaged in social support and volunteer activities to support community initiatives.

Sappe places importance on promoting good health in communities in all dimensions—physical, mental, intellectual, and social—through access to quality health services, disease prevention, promotion of healthy habits, and proactive health care. The company applies technology to support accessible health care, aiming to enhance quality of life, reduce health risks, and strengthen community self-reliance to cope with health challenges and grow sustainably.

SAPPE Eye Care Project
The SAPPE Eye Care initiative was implemented to improve eye health and enhance access to healthcare services for communities surrounding the manufacturing facility. A total of 131 participants joined the programme, exceeding the target by 31%. Of these, 52 individuals were identified as requiring prescription eyeglasses. Post-project satisfaction assessment indicated a “very good” satisfaction level, with a score of 83.15%.

Quality of Life Promotion Project

The Company is committed to enhancing the quality of life of local communities and society, with particular focus on communities surrounding its manufacturing facility in Khlong 13, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province. Key initiatives include the provision of water cooling dispensers and water filtration systems to hospitals and local communities, as well as support for community and social initiatives through both monetary donations and contributions of the Company’s beverage products.

The company aims to strengthen social capital through responsible engagement in situations where society requires assistance, particularly by supporting communities and individuals affected by disasters and emergencies, as well as promoting opportunities for vulnerable groups in society. These initiatives are based on respect for human rights, equity, and fair access to aid. The company emphasizes mobilizing its resources—including products, budget, and employees’ volunteer efforts—to provide timely relief, while coordinating with government agencies, the private sector, and partner networks to ensure effective and transparent assistance reaches those affected.

This approach helps build trust, collaboration, and long-term community resilience. The company’s support is not only immediate relief but also lays the foundation for sustainable relationships between the organization and society.

Communication Channels and Guidelines for Community Complaints

The company provides many easy-to-access communication channels to encourage participation from communities around its operations and to support a process of listening to feedback in line with human rights principles. These channels include contact through the Social and Community Development (SD) Team, the company’s online platforms such as the corporate website, Facebook, and Instagram, telephone and email communication, direct messaging via the Line app, as well as regular meetings with communities and local authorities. Annual community surveys are also conducted to assess concerns and satisfaction, helping the company continuously evaluate impacts and expectations of stakeholders.
 
               As part of its human rights framework, the Company has established a Community Grievance Mechanism aligned with the principles of accessibility, transparency, fairness, and non-retaliation, providing individuals and communities with a safe and confidential channel to raise complaints or concerns related to the Company’s operations. All grievances are reviewed and addressed through an appropriate and timely process. The Company is committed to conducting fact-finding, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring outcomes on an ongoing basis in accordance with the principles of Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD).
