Miss Piyajit Ruckariyapong, Chief Executive Officer of Sappe Public Company Limited (SAPPE), which won the first runner-up prize in the Gender-Responsive Marketplace category from the UN Women 2022 Thailand WEPs Awards, participated the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” event held as a driving force to encourage the private sector to promote gender equality. The SAPPE CEO also jointly celebrated the economic, political and social success of women around the world on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023 at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) building.

Ms. Piyajit said SAPPE was proud to be part of the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” event as the company has been emphasizing on all stakeholders throughout the supply chain. Policies, strategies and targets have been set to constantly respond to the expectations of the stakeholders under the management of SAPPE sustainability committee consisting of representatives from all departments of the company. The committee is tasked to oversee the stakeholders in the supply chain of each department to the point and discloses its performance in the annual report for transparency and to allow the stakeholders such as investors and shareholders as well as the general public to obtain information thoroughly.

Apart from producing quality products, responsible marketing, sincere communication and delivering products to all customers equally, SAPPE also promotes equality in the organization. The company encourages the employees at all levels and those with various thoughts to show their potential and join force in creating new innovation and become “Home Of Innovators” to better people’s lives under our determination. In addition, we carry out activities to help develop our suppliers and business partners with an aim for all parties to grow side by side. We created jobs for local residents and community enterprises around the factory to earn more income from Sappe’s Wan Wan Wan project, Sood Sud inhaler and Sappe Together hand sanitizer. The company also continually shares knowledge with the communities and has been providing essential assistance and help all stakeholders with good governance during both normalcy and a crisis.

During a special interview in the topic “Gender Equality Means Good Business,” the SAPPE CEO said “All SAPPE product brands have marketing communication using clear advertisement and public relations in both benefits and target groups. We place importance on true quality, good taste and health benefits to consumers and everyone can eat our products for their better health. The SAPPE familiar products like Sappe Beauti Drink is among the first brands which clearly sent a message of self-care covering all needs to better the consumers’ health. We have developed the brand communication to affirm our standpoint as healthy drink which truly understands the current consumers with the “Healthy Makes Beauty” concept in order to build understanding for all to look after themselves starting from good health for a better result for each person”.

The annual ‘Ring the Bell for Gender Equality’ event was organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8 under the collaboration of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, UN Women, and the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. The event was aimed at encouraging the private sector to promote gender equality and to celebrate the economic, political, and social success of women around the globe.
