Sappe Public Company Limited (SAPPE) has introduced “Preaw Fiber,” an upgrade on Preaw Coffee, with chebulic myrobalan extract to strengthen health for Thais. The product was created to target consumers with a constipated problem, particularly the buffet-lovers. The Preaw Fiber, which helps improve intestinal balance, is now available at convenient stores, shops and online channels at 40 baht per four packs. The company sets a sales target of no less than 100 million baht in the first year.
SAPPE Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Piyajit Ruckariyapong, said the latest statistics publicized by the National Cancer Institute on March 17, 2022 showed that colorectal cancer is among five types of cancer found among the Thai people and keeps rising every year. Currently, records show there are approximately 16,000 new cases, 8,658 men and 7,281 women, per year, and the annual death toll is around 5,500.
She said health-risk behavior is among the factors leading to the disease, especially consumption of low fiber food which causes disorder of the excretory system and constipation which are the key factors that may cause colorectal cancer.
SAPPE emphasizes product development to serve consumers’ requirements on health caring and to improve the living standard of the Thai people. Therefore, the company developed a product in the Preaw coffee line, the number one weight control coffee, to become Preaw Fiber coffee for consumers with excretion and constipation problems as well as those who want to adjust their intestine balance in particular.
