SAPPE donates supplies to Chulalongkorn University’s field hospital and Klong Toey communities

Sappe PCL continued its corporate social responsibility activities to support medical teams and communities, particularly the high-risk areas.

On May 20, the SAPPE CSR team visited Chulalongkorn University’s field hospital, which has 100 beds for coronavirus patients and a mobile vaccination operation unit for the high-risk communities. Three hundred cartons of SAPPE products were handed to assistant of Chulalongkorn’s president for secretary and special affairs, Ms. Kanyasorn Tansuphapol, who represented the university in the event.

After putting on personal protective equipment (PPE) suits, the SAPPE team later went to the Klong Toey Community with several sub-communities within it. Two hundred cartons of products and 1,000 pieces of Aloe vera alcohol-based sanitizer gel were given to the Duang Prateep Foundation.

Legacy Insurance Consultants took part in the mission by donating 40 PPE suits to the foundation, which overseas 70-Rai Community in Klong Toey district. The community was hardest hit by Covid-19 at that time.

The team made the last stop by meeting with the “Klongtoey D-Jung” group, a non-governmental organization that provides assistance for the needy in six communities at Klong Toey.

The six communities are Rong Moo, Baan Mankong, Flat 23-34, Flat 25, Klong Wat Saphan (Saphan temple) and Talat Penang (Penang market) where a number of volunteers gathered to pack aid packages and food for people affected by the deadly virus.
